What is Ceili Dancing?
Ceili dancing is the traditional group dancing native to Ireland, first taught by tradition and then, in 1939, put into writing by the Irish dancing commission. The dances we teach are those
generations-old dances handed down through the years.
Team selections are by invitation of the teachers. All dancers who have taken at least one year of Irish dance are eligible. Our goal is to try to get all dancers who are interested in competing on a team. However, we may not be able to do so due to age grouping, ability to commit to practice schedule, etc.
